The 2010 Ilkley Triathlon will take place on Sunday 26 September, based at Ilkley Lido. The course will be the same as in previous years, with a 500m swim in the indoor pool, followed by three bike laps and one run lap around a 3 mile circuit comprising Denton Road, Carter Lane, Curly Hill and Middleton Road.  This event is suitable for novices and more experienced triathletes alike, and has traditionally had a very large local entry. The event is limited to a maximum of 350 entries, plus 30 relay teams. Minimum age is 16 (as at 31 December 2010) for individual entries. For teams, the minimum age for cyclists is 16, but for swimmers and runners the minimum age is 13.

This is a very popular event so you are advised to get your entries in as soon after 1st May as possible. Once the event is full subsequent entrants will go on to a Reserves list. After 13th August the organisers will contact, by email, those on the Reserves list should places become available so please make sure you read your emails regularly if on the list.

Entry fees are £32 for individual seniors, £16 for individual juniors (£29 or £13 respectively if BTF member)and £33 for Teams. Juniors must be under 19 years on 31.12.2010

The event will start at 10.30am, with the last competitors starting around 4pm. Registration and bike racking will be on the day, at least 30 minutes before competitors' start times. This year, as last year, the event will have chip timing.

Start times will be posted on the Leeds & Bradford Triathlon Club website approximately two weeks before the event. Event details, such as route maps, and competitor lists will also be posted on the website and at event registration. There will be a £20 refund for withdrawals notified to the organiser before 13th August, but no refunds thereafter.
