This week's Group 1 bike ride is perfect for newbies, so I though I would advertise it on this section as well as the Training section.

Sunday 6 March, start 9.30 from the Magnet Social Club in Tadcaster. (In Tadcaster, take the A162 towards Towton and Sherburn and it is immediately on the right. It has its own car park, which has lots of space.)

The ride is specially designed for novices. It is about 30 miles, very flat and is accompanied by a couple of experienced riders from Yorkshire Road Club who will ensure that no-one gets left behind and any problems such as punctures are sorted out.

It is absolutely ideal for anyone wanting a gentle introduction to riding in a group.

hi there.

Please count me in. I need to regain my confidence on the bike after nearly a year since the road accident. Could you please let me know the details etc.

Many thanks.

Andy

Hi, I'm new to the club and to triathalons, was hoping to do a bit more outdoor biking with those of a similar standard, anyone organising a trip i could join or perhaps fancy sorting something out? Hopefully so! Another bike skill session would also be welcomed as i unforunately had to miss the last.

Cheers

Caroline

Hi Caroline

There is a planned bike ride this Sunday (and most weekends) which you're welcome to join, it's advertised on the forum as the group 1/2 rides. This week we're planning to do just over 30 miles with moderate hills, but we take it at the pace of the slowest rider and will not drop anyone. If you can ride the distance you'll be fine. We are meeting at Dunnies Cafe in Otley at 9.30am. We're also planning a cafe stop along the way, so that would be good to refuel!

Let me know if you're intereted and if you need directions. Hope to see you there!

Dena
