Does anyone have any recomendations for prescription cycling/running glasses.

Has anyone tried the RX mount behind lenses, what are they like?

Unfortunately due to age I've had to go to varifocals, so with contact lenses can see distance but can't read bike computer or watch.

Top tips welcome

I have the same problem - I have a pair of varifocal sunglasses which are great when it is sunny, but not good on dull days or on a night.

I have a pair of Rudy Project (the ones that go darker in the sun) with the RX mount (I have a varifocal presription ,because i can't do with contact lenses) - these are great most of the time, but when they steam up they can be a pain, but most glasses are a pain when they steam up.

You could always go get yourself the lazer treatment.

Good luck.

Andrew

Nigel,

Another option is multi focus contact lens, which I have. I've used contact lenses for 20 years to correct short sightedness, but age has now meant the new problem of diffivculty reading things which are closer. They seem to do the trick for me!

I get mine from Boots for £20 pm, which includes all the eye checks etc (but not solutions).

Good luck,

Gary

Thanks Guys

Andrew not sure lazer would help as I understand it can only correct short or long not both. If vari lens don't work I'll try the RX's. It a real pain getting old.

Gary are they disposables or weekly or monthly?

I think I'll try the lens's and see how I get on with them.

Cheers

Nige Shaw
