LGS Q1 W4 - Hold Stroke Count and Form Under Pressure

Please find attached the session for this week - Alan Smith is lead coach.

LGS Q1 W4.pdf (44.26 KB)

Alan's points:

The warm up begins with continous swimming including a longer continuous kick - swimmers to try head up - hands over the end of the kick board approach.

The main set a reverse pyramid set – decending and ascending rest but holding even time and stroke count. The aim of which is to see how the Push and Glide, Stroke Count and Pace Judgement hold up “Under Pressure”.

Element 1: this will test Timing skills – coaches to inform swimmers not to change the leader of the lane (unless they physically cannot carry on).

Element 2: Pace judgement - get this wrong and the second part of main set could be quite uncomfortable.

Please note: video analysis is available this week and then I'm away for a week, post or contact if you wish to be filmed.

Regards, Francis.

Please note: there is no session this week due to work being done at Leeds Grammar School, we are sorry that you'll miss a week.

You can of course use the spare time productively by thinking about your family, friends, etc and treat yourself to a surprise night out with them. Triathletes need all the brownie points they can get !!!

Regards, Francis.
