National Club Relays 2012
Its a 500m open water swim, 15k bike and 5k run.
Olympic fever is in the air so why not be part of something really special this year? Come and join in the organised chaos that is the National Club Relays.
This fun team relay event returns to Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham on 25/26th August 2012. Here, teams of 4 athletes will get the chance to race against other clubs from across the country in a 500m lake swim, 15km cycle followed by a 5km run. The race offers a really great day out to experienced / novice competitors and spectators alike. Everyone is welcome!
To keep things as simple and inclusive as possible we have entered 12 teams. 10 x open (any team of 4) and 2 x mixed teams (BTF Champs) into the event on the Saturday morning only. This means there will be maximum support for our fellow club mates with the afternoon free to enjoy the BBQ.
Adults - 40 places are available with Martin Hendron co-ordinating teams
Juniors - 8 places are available with Helen McVicker co-ordinating teams
You can pick your own teams if you like, or enter as an individual and we will make up a team for you. Don’t worry if your new to the club – this is the perfect way to get to know everyone and we promise to give you a really warm welcome.
Our dedicated social team will again be setting up camp to support its hungry athletes and supporters with quality food and refreshments. We like to make it a really big day out for everybody and nobody will go hungry.
How to Enter
LBT will be contributing 50% towards race entry fees making it just £20 per person to enter. If you are not a BTF member you will need to pay £5 to cover the cost of your day licence. You will need to give this to your team captain in advance of the event. Details of team captains will be published nearer the time.
